MOZIKA MANOVA FIAINANA

MUSIKK FORANDRER LIV - MUSIC CHANGES LIVES

History of MMF

MMF was officially founded in Antsirabe, Madagascar, in 2021 by Eline Rodvelt Hansen and her husband Dina Rasalina Andriamanalina. The history of MMF dates back to 2018 when Eline packed two violins and traveled expectantly to Madagascar. While studying the violin at the Grieg Academy in Bergen, she had a strong desire to teach children who otherwise would not have the opportunity to develop their talents. Her dream eventually became to start a music school for the poorest children in Madagascar.

Our Work

In Madagascar, child mortality is high and many die from diseases that can be easily treated with modern medicine. Typical causes are infectious diseases such as pneumonia, tuberculosis, diarrheal diseases and malaria. The country also has one of the highest incidences of plague in the world, as well as epidemics and pandemics that.

Volunteer

Would you like to make a difference for street children in one of the world's poorest countries? We are looking for individuals who want to volunteer with us in Madagascar.

Primarily, we are seeking those with an interest in or education related to music. We find that students greatly benefit from instruction by professional musicians.

Support Us

The funds that come in go towards covering everything from food, clothing, education, equipment, healthcare, medicines, and dental care for the children, as well as the operation of the music school and salaries for our staff. The families of the children are also included in the food program and receive monthly distributions of food and hygiene products. We are constantly working to improve the living conditions of the children, and we use much of the surplus we have to repair houses and homes.
